In 1912, the Elks
of Canada, also known as the Benevolent and
Protective Order of Elks received its charter from
the Dominion of Canada, as a fraternal and
charitable organization. Its first Lodge,
Lodge No. 1, opened in Vancouver, BC in 1912 with
Charles E Redeker as its first national leader.
Since 1912, the Elks of Canada have lodges in every
Province and Territory and will be celebrating 100
years of dedicated service to the Canadian
communities. Delta Elks No. 531 has been
fortunate to be chosen to host in 2012, the B.C.
